The Feminine at Work

Resourcefulness for Women

04-06 Oct 2019

This weekend Retreat supports women with awareness, tools and strategies to be more resourceful and energised in their daily lives. Our aim is to offer to women a guide towards a sustainable well being rooted in the understanding of the natural rhythm of their bodies.

Our focus is on women’s biology and to help women to connect with the cyclical nature of their being and to acknowledge it as a source of power and well being. We believe that the embodiment and expanded awareness of the life cyclical principle, is a key point in understanding what women’s empowerment means.

This weekend is to support women in creating and developing a relationship with what is encoded in our bodies and biology and offers a space for enquiry into that relationship. This relationship is unique to our age, experience, understanding and where we are at in our lives.

  • What are we going to do?

Our focus is to raise awareness and share ideas, strategies and tools to bring greater resourcefulness and empowerment to women.

Below is an overview of the main themes:

    • Understanding and connecting with the cyclical rhythm of our body and the power and wisdom we hold in ourselves.
    • Discovering new tools to navigate in the constant changes in our experience of being a woman.
    • Exploring self-care and rituals and practices to integrate in our daily lives.
    • Identifying elements in our habits and in our environment that negatively impact our hormonal system.
  • How are we going to do it?

During the workshop we will explore different ways of accessing what we know:

    • Body work, inspired by different yoga and movement practices.
    • Group activities: discussions in the circle, self-awareness exercises.

    Who is it for?

The Retreat is open to women of all ages and experiences

    • Personal thinking and reflection time.
    • Journaling and guided writing exercises.
    • Sharing tips and tools for daily life.
    • Eating energetic food and exploring how we nourish ourselves.

    What to bring?

    • Yoga mat
    • Simple, comfortable clothes suitable for body work and sitting on cushions/the floor.
    • Your personal journal/notebook. You might want to bring colour crayons too …
    • Ear plugs.
    • An object that represents the Feminine for you.
  • Accommodation and Food

Price quoted is in a shared bedroom: sharing is part of the experience but there are some single room options available for an extra cost.

All meals will be entirely organic and vegetarian with vegan options. For any other dietary requirements (soy free, diary free, gluten free, etc..), please let us know.

The  Banyan  cuisine is inspired by Sam and Marta’s travels and also by their passion for wild cooking with natural untransformed produce. Every meal is an opportunity to go back to the biodiversity of flavours that Nature offers: grains that we are not used to eating, flowers and aromatic plants mixed with traditional dishes of Southern Italy or the Middle East, reinvented for a special meal.

Giving Back

A percentage of all payments goes to the Giving Back fund to pay for Retreat places for those who are working in the not for profit sector, are on low income or in other situations that mean they would struggle to pay for a Retreat or Personal/professional development courses.

We thank you for this contribution.
